'I do not believe for one minute that we offered the family anything for their silence, and I believe that we operated as we always do with full transparency,' said spokesman Lisa Marshall of Service Corporation International, which owns the business.Accused: Clement has been fired by the home, who deny claims of briberyA colleague at the home witnessed the incident involving Ms Shular-Cameron and alerted the authorities.This is not the first time such a grisly incident has occurred at the company.The Detroit Free Press reports that two former employees were found guilty of mistreating a corpse at the home in 1988.No further complaints against the business have been found since. Clement, of Temperance, Michigan, has been fired from the HH Birkenkamp Funeral Home in Toledo.The Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors said they were approached by the funeral home about the matter.The board could revoke the license of the funeral home if any misconduct is found, acting director Jennifer Baugess told the Toledo Blade.
